This course will provide you with an overview of BPMN Event concepts and will demonstrate the use of Timer, Conditional and Message Events.

What Will I Learn?

At the end of this course you will be able to:

  • Describe where BPMN Events may be added to a process
    • Start Event
    • Intermediate Event
    • Boundary Event
    • End Event
  • Explain the differences between a Catching Event and a Throwing Event
  • Explain the differences between an Interrupting Boundary Event and a Non-Interrupting Boundary Event
  • Describe some of the most commonly used BPMN Event Types
    • Timer
    • Conditional
    • Message
  • Describe how Event Based Gateways can be used to route processes in response to an Event
